Regarding re-opening of schools and kindergartens (英語翻訳版)

Dear students of kindergarten, kodomo-en(4-5year olds), elementary school, junior high school, and special education school,
You all did a great job for last 3 months during the time you had to stay home. None of you got infected by the COVID19, which makes me very happy! Well, finally your school will open again. You can go see your friends and teachers. You can study in your classroom. You can have your school lunch! However, COVID19 has not gone yet. You will still have to use masks when needed and keep up the social distancing while you are at school. You also need to wash your hands often. Please follow the instructions from your teachers and your parents, and enjoy your school life.

We thank you, dear parents, for your cooperation during this long break. Schools will re-open from today, but as Tamba Sasayama city, we are planning to implement educational activities with a flexible curriculum, taking into consideration the physical and mental health of the children. This is a measure to accommodate their gradual readjustment to school life. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in advance. Fortunately, this COVID19 does not seem to affect children so heavily, but children could transmit the virus to adults (family members and teachers). Therefore, please continue to instruct them of the preventative measures at home.

I believe that it is very important for schools, homes, and the Board of Education to unite and cooperate all the more so that the children can have a happy, healthy and safe school life.
Thank you very much for your continual support.
